PESTFEST – When The Water Rises - black LP

The Flensburg-based band was among the driving forces of the DIY punk scene in Germany’s northernmost city. The music of the six-piece is energetic, raw, and rough-edged hardcore punk with a strong political edge. Particularly striking is the combination of female and male vocals, which is one of the band’s main strengths and defining characteristics — something you might know from PARAGRAF 119 and similar bands. The lyrics are in Norwegian, German, and English.

This is aggressive, pissed-off hardcore punk that still delivers totally catchy melodies and, above all, a strong sense of identity. Almost every song stands on its own as a hit. The choruses stick in your head, no matter what language they’re in.

The LP was repressed in 2016 and comes once again with a printed inner sleeve, this time on black vinyl.
